MoMA Design Store Illustrations
I was commissioned by the MoMA Design Store to create a set of four animated illustrations for their newly re-opened store in SoHo, New York. The series highlights four Value Props that define the store and set it apart: Curator Approved, Unexpected Discovery, Design for Everyone, and Support MoMA.
Each illustration reflects the thoughtful design and sense of play that define the Design Store. I kept the artwork minimal and clean to complement the brand’s aesthetic. One of the main challenges was translating each key message into a single, clear image and use animation to enhance its meaning.
The artworks were screen printed directly onto the store’s feature wall, with the animated versions displayed on-screen at the checkout areas.
